Miguel Alemán, officially known as Miguel Alemán Valdez, is a city and municipality located in the northern Mexican state of Tamaulipas. The city was founded in 1948 as part of a government initiative to develop the region and is named after former president Miguel Alemán Valdés. It is located on the banks of the Rio Grande and is an important transport hub for the region. The city is known for its agriculture and oil industry, as well as its cultural attractions such as the Casa de la Cultura and La Loma, a park and lookout point with panoramic views of the city. The population of Miguel Alemán Tamps is approximately 28,000 people.
